Great Neck Reads Writing Contests
Two contests – one for adults, one for teens in grades 9 - 12. Write a short story, poem or essay inspired by the book The Double Bind, or one or more of the photos that appear in it. Winners will receive prizes, and have their work read, on Sunday, May 31 during the Great Neck Reads Closing Event.

Screenings of the 1974 Film The Great Gatsby
Because parts of The Double Bind take place in Fitzgerald's fictional towns of East Egg and West Egg, a new look at this 1974 film adaptation of The Great Gatsby could give viewers and readers a fresh take on both the book and the movie.
