BEAU JEST is the story of Sarah Goldman, a young schoolteacher from Chicago who is involved with Chris, a great guy with just one apparent flaw -- he's not Jewish. To keep her mother from trying to fix her up with "nice Jewish boys," Sarah invents the perfect Jewish doctor boyfriend and hires Bob, an actor, to play the part of "Dr. Steinberg" at dinner with her parents. The results are hilarious, touching and not quite what you'd expect.
