The classic rock opera by The Who comes to the stage!
The setting is England, after World War II. Young Tommy Walker is struck "deaf,
dumb and blind" when he sees his presumed-dead father return from the
war and kill his mother's new lover in a jealous rage. Tommy is exploited
and misused by those around him, until the day they discover his handicap
makes him the world's greatest pinball player. Tommy becomes a superstar,
regains his senses and is hailed
as a new messiah by his fans -- but is that what he really wants? Soon Tommy
has to decide whether to become the person others want him to be, or to live
his live on his own terms.
