 2 Positions Available

Part Time Custodian

Responsibilities:

● Maintenance, safety and cleanliness of buildings and grounds;
● Maintenance of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electric, etc);
● Maintenance of Library van and other equipment;
● Transfer of materials and supplies between Main Library and three Branches on timely basis;

Skills required:

Strong back and stamina – Lifting, bending and snow shoveling required;
Basic carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing skills helpful;
Valid NYS Driver’s License and clean driving record;
Awareness of surroundings and attention to details;
Working knowledge of mechanical systems;
Strong communications skills;
“Can do” attitude.

Starting Salary

$14.63 + per hour, dependent on relevant experience
8 -20 hours/week Monday – Saturday
(shifts to be determined)
plus occasional Sundays as required
