GREAT NECK LIBRARY Program Admission Policies
Films:
Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Lectures, music recitals:
Some library programs are bound to result in capacity audiences, and in some cases, people being turned away due to lack of seating space. In such instances, priority seating will be given to Great Neck School District residents. When the doors open for such a program, you will be asked to show a valid ID to gain entrance (a library card or driver's license will do).
Non-residents will be asked to form a separate line in the lobby. Five minutes before the program begins, any vacant seats will be made available by a library staff member to non-residents. Seating capacity is limited by fire regulation, and we may not admit more people than this regulation allows. No one may stand in, or block any aisles.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Programs requiring registration/tickets:
Great Neck School District residents receive preference in program registration. One week following the date that registration begins for residents, out of district Nassau County residents may register if space permits. For programs that require tickets, a date and time for distribution of tickets is announced for residents.
If tickets remain, out of district Nassau County residents may obtain tickets beginning one week following the date of distribution to residents.
