The year: 1931. The place: Berlin. Behind the doors of the notorious Kit Kat Klub, painted ladies (and painted gentlemen) sing and dance as though life were an endless party. But outside those doors, Nazis are marching in the streets, and the stage is being set for the horrors of the Third Reich.
